The good news just keeps on coming for the Penticton Vees.

Luc Wilson and Josh Nadeau were among the team’s forwards to receive recognition from the BCHL and its fans this week.

Wilson was selected as an all-star and will represent the Interior Conference at the BCHL’s weekend-long spectacle from Jan. 14-16.

The 21-year-old will join Vees captain Fin Williams at the 3-on-3 outdoor all-star game, slated to be played in Penticton in 2022.

Nadeau, on the other hand, was named BCHL’s second star of the week on Dec. 6.

There’s a trend in the BCHL right now that heavily favours Penticton — whenever Nadeau tallies a point, the Vees win.

The forward has recorded a point in 10 consecutive games, matching the same amount of wins his team has collected in the same period of time.

Nadeau’s point streak has featured 10 goals and seven helpers.

Vees defenseman Grayson Arnott was named as an honourable mention for the stars of the week.

While Penticton (18-2-0-0) continues to add to the win column, the team was not represented in the league’s first-star ranking. Trail Smoke Eaters Brady Hunter instead got the honour, scoring four goals and eight points last week.

As for Wilson, his totals are good enough for second in team scoring. The team’s newest all-star has recorded 30 points during the 2021-2022 season.

Penticton hosts the Salmon Arm Silverbacks at the South Okanagan Events Centre on Friday night in a battle for first place.

The Silverbacks will act as the Vees’ toughest test on the ice in quite some time, sporting a 17-4-1-0 record.
