Things couldn’t have gone any better for Josh Nadeau in the second week of 2022-2023 B.C. Hockey League action.

The Penticton Vees forward was named the league’s first star of the week Tuesday, Oct. 4, thanks to his combined six points in two games played against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks and West Kelowna Warriors.

The 19-year-old was among the league’s top scorers last season, posting 72 points in 54 games played.

Through a total of four games played this season, Nadeau leads the BCHL in scoring with 10 points. His brother, Bradly, is second on the list with 9 points.

Nadeau had a goal and two assists in Penticton’s 6-1 victory against Salmon Arm, posting three assists just one night later against West Kelowna in his team’s 10-3 triumph.

The University of Maine commit hits the ice again on Friday when the Vees host the Merritt Centennials. Puck drop at the South Okanagan Events Centre is at 7 p.m.

Wenatchee Wild forward Jonathan Horn and Victoria Grizzlies goaltender Oliver Auyeung-Ashton were named the league’s second and third stars of the week, respectively.
