Summerland golfers competed in regular league action

On May 22, the Summerland Golf and Country Ladies Club scored the game using TTs and FFs. Members counted holes that the numbers started with T or F (i.e. two, three, four, five etc.) then doubled the score and deducted the handicap to arrive at a net score.

First flight: First Carol Mulligan, 59; second Helen Pybus, 64; third Vi Ward 66, fourth Lanette Graham, 69.

Second flight: First Lynne Karaim, 64; second Cathy Larkin, 65; second Maribel Rothfield, 71.

Results May 24

On May 24, the Summerland Senior Men’s Club played a gross-net scores event.

Greg Flook was the low gross for the day while Chuck Harman took low net honours. Peter Schnurr, Andy Webster and Rick Drewnisz shared the deuce pot.

First flight: First low gross Greg Flook, 80; first low net Chuck Harman, 70; second low gross Peter Schnurr, 85; second low net Dennis Glasscock, 74.

Second flight: First low gross Jeff Clarke, 87; first low net Andy Webster, 72; second low gross Neville Crane, 93; second low net Sandy McDowell, 77 cb.

Third flight: First low gross Doug Marchesi, 94; first low net Al Thomas, 72; second low gross Rick Drewnisz, 95; second low net Stu Macaulay, 76.
