Penticton has four athletes competing in the Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg, July 28 to Aug. 13.

On the baseball diamond, Daniel Martin has helped Team B.C. to a 3-3 record, scoring 34 runs, while allowing 41. Martin has scored three runs and collected three RBI’s. Team B.C. will hit the diamond Thursday against Team Ontario in the quarter-final round.

In men’s beach volleyball, former Pen High Laker Logan Mend is playing for Team Ontario and has helped them go 5-0. Team Ontario has advanced to the semifinal round, where they wait for their opponent to play Aug. 3.

Acacia Benn and Tyler Wall of the KISU swim club haven’t competed yet. Swimming events get underway next week.
