The BCHL has postponed eight games, including the Penticton Vees’ showdown against the Chilliwack Chiefs on Friday, Nov. 19.

Amid the devastating floods in Merritt and around the province, the league and the Vees collectively decided to push back Friday’s game — which was to be played at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

On Tuesday, the Vees’ game against the Merritt Centennials, originally scheduled for Wednesday (Nov. 17), was postponed until a later date. At that time, it wasn’t yet known if future games on the team’s schedule would also be pushed back.

Penticton is currently slated to play the Cranbrook Bucks on Nov. 21 at the Western Financial Place in Cranbrook.

Through 12 regular-season games this season, Penticton has banked 10 wins, good enough for third place in the Interior Division.

The team sits behind only the West Kelowna Warriors and Salmon Arm Silverbacks in the standings.
