Dogs and their owners attended a full-day workshop on Sunday to learn about dog sports and dog and human behaviour.
The workshop was organized by Canines and Co. Okanagan Dog Obedience School.
In addition to the training sessions, staff at the dog obedience school provided an introduction to the new dog sport of dog puller.
Mya Kondor, owner and dog trainer at the school said dog puller is a new sport in Canada.
It uses an interactive training tool called a puller. Any breed of dog can train and compete in this sport.
The sport includes jumping and retrieving components.
The first B.C. competition of dog puller is expected to be held in the Okanagan Valley next summer.
