Dear Editor:

The mystery of the 12 Days of Christmas continued at the Steinke home on Solly Rd.

There have been numerous people who have offered up names of people that may have done the marvellous deed. I, along with friends, have had great fun wondering who this amazing person or persons could have accomplished this amazing feat.

The partridge in a pine tree was the most astounding as it was the first present.

The second day was represented by two socks and it certainly piqued my interest.

The third day of Christmas was represented by three lotto tickets, that I would like to keep intact.

The fourth day of Christmas the present was four Christmas candies, and I was overwhelmed with surprise.

The fifth day of Christmas was five gold wrapped chocolates and felt rather humbled as the presents continued.

The sixth day of Christmas was six Christmas bells.

The seventh day of Christmas was a Dairy Queen card with no markings and I would bet there is $7 of ice cream available.

The eighth day of Christmas was marked with 8 candy canes, a little sachet of canes.

The ninth day of Christmas was extremely clever with an After Eight chocolate bar, amazing. “After Eight comes Nine!”

The 10th day of Christmas was noted with a $10 Tim Horton’s Card, as I do enjoy their coffee.

The 11th day of Christmas was a tasty treat of 11 Home Made Cookies, and of course they were my favourite.

The 12th day of Christmas present was a carton of 12 Diet Coke cans, which is my beverage of choice.

There are no words to describe how amazing it was to wake each morning to a gift set in the porch.

I did not have any expectations but there was feeling of wonder, amazement, and a warmth of kindness. My Christmas has been one of the best ever.

The true meaning of sharing and caring with friends and family rang true. Our world is changing and this act of kindness erased some of the tragic occurrences this Christmas.

I am so fortunate to have friends that care. The true meaning of Christmas was not about me, it was about the thoughtfulness of others and for that I am truly grateful. Thank you for your kindness, you are amazing.
