Dear Editor:
As a member of the organization team putting on the 2017 Summerland Terry Fox Run, I would like to thank our community for their continued and valued support of this event.
Terry said, “It’s got to keep going without me.”
And on Sunday, Sept. 17, you Summerlanders did just that as 246 participants walked, ran or rode in Terry’s name, raising more than $8,300 for cancer research.
Thank you for being a part of our great community and for helping to keep Terry’s dream of a world without cancer alive.
Mark your calendars for next year. The Terry Fox Run will be on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018.
