We would like to congratulate Paul Cecconi, executive chef at Summerland’s Local Lounge and Grille for winning the second annual Stone Soup competition held by the Kelowna Gospel Mission.
The event is a fundraiser for the mission and brings together eight Okanagan chefs.
The “black box” event begins with elimination rounds over several days with two chefs competing in the final.
This year, his soup has taken first place in the judges’ and public categories..
Well done, Paul, and a second congratulations to Local Lounge and Grille for bringing such a top chef to town. This is a prime example of how Summerland can compete and excel with the right business strategy.
