Dear Editor:
Recently I slipped on some snow and fell by Summerland Secondary School.

I just wanted to thank the people who came to help me: the gentleman in the truck who immediately pulled over and offered assistance (including snow in a paper towel to stop swelling) and helping to walk me over to the medical clinic; staff from the secondary school including vice-principal Myron Dueck, the first aid attendant, and several others. I didn’t catch most of your names as I was a little shaken up but appreciated your help and concern.
Just to let you know, I have a pretty spectacular black eye, swollen lip and swollen hand but no serious injuries and I am recovering nicely.
It’s good to live in a place where people are caring and helpful.
