Dear Editor:

We have received notice from our landlord that he will not be renewing our lease at Cozy Bay Seafood Cafe.

Sadly, Cozy Bay Fish and Chip Shop will be closing its doors for good at the end of our business hours on Saturday, Sept. 1.

At this time, we wish to sincerely acknowledge all of our long-time, loyal and dedicated customers throughout the years. We cannot thank you enough.

Our heavy hearts cannot be expressed.

So many of you have become our close, dear friends and we have shared many fond memories, celebrations and special occasions with you.

We also would like to thank all of our amazing staff, both current and past, for their exceptional work ethic and providing such awesome service. The fun and friendly atmosphere could never have been achieved without you.

We hope you are able to take many life lessons from Cozy Bay and will be able to use them in your future careers.

We love you and will really miss our Cozy Bay family of 18 years.

Cozy Bay is a thriving Summerland business. We were surprised by this news, just before entering our busy summer season.

However, together as a team, we have decided to continue to provide the same quality food, fun and friendly service and atmosphere right up until our final day.

This is very difficult for Cozy Bay as a whole and we know this will affect our community of Summerland.

Sad to see another business lost.

We hope some others may take on another fish and chip shop here as it is vital to our part of the community.

If anyone wishes to continue on with the legacy, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are selling off everything and will help share our success to any serious individuals.

With hands on our hearts, we will miss you all.
