LETTER: Make decision based on facts

Gary is both owner of the property and CEO/Owner of New Essence Management Services.

Dear Editor:

It was disturbing to read in last week’s Review that in Gary Tamblyn’s experience the luxury condos may be purchased as second homes by ‘seniors’ who are house rich, and rented out for extra income.

What becomes of the over 55 resort living? Does it become AirBNB rentals and competition for the Summerland Resort?

Gary is both owner of the property and CEO/Owner of New Essence Management Services the company who would manage the St Elizabeth’s Healthcare services on this site.

Also rather interesting to read was the article by Rudi van den Broek on Jan. 19 stating “Grapes are not native to the Okanagan.”

Tell that to the more than 200 wineries in the valley and see how they react.

Rudi also stated he was a consultant to the Lark Group.

In fact both he and Kirk Fisher (SVP Lark Group) are senior executives with HealthTech Connex the company Lark Group are promoting to provide health services on the site.

All three have a high vested interest in this development being built.

Let’s make decisions based on facts that will benefit the residents of Summerland not the developers or their subsidiary companies.
