LETTER: Longboarders were polite and courteous

What I saw from longboarders were smiles, no complaints and always a please and thank you.

Dear Editor:

I was helping out at Yaki’s Pizza and Subs during the Ride the Giant longboard event.

If you were under the impression that these young adults are wild and crazy, you could be correct, for anyone who jumps on a skinny board with wheels and hurtles down steep hills has got to be a bit nuts.

But, what I saw while they waited for their orders to be done were smiles, no complaints and always a please and thank you.

Certainly better than a couple of other events we have in town.

They’ll definitely be welcome in the years to come.
