Dear Editor:

I would like to share a story of stupidity on Dec. 21 on Fish Lake Road.

An individual attempting to acquire a dead Ponderosa pine tree along Fish Lake Road made a slight error in falling the tree which landed on the power line, knocking the power out for more than 20 households. The individual fled the scene and it is not known who it was.

Much thanks to the crew who worked in the dark cold evening to restore our power. I can imagine the bill for such a repair would be pretty high, and if the individual had any honour, would step forward and pay the bill. Not likely this will happen; however, I hope whoever did this will at least read this.

Ponderosa pine is not really a good source of firewood.
