Dear Editor:
Leadership within a community comes in many forms and is demonstrated by a variety of people. In Summerland, one of those leaders has been Rick Gay who eloquently and expertly has led our community through each Remembrance Day ceremony for the past sixteen years. I was saddened to hear that this was his last year as MC for the November 11 ceremony.
I will miss his dignity and grace at the microphone during future ceremonies and wish to express my thanks for the past sixteen years of service.
