Kudos the the Summerland Health Care Auxiliary Thrift Shop for their eminent display of foresight, leadership and thoughtfulness within the community by reducing plastic waste in the form of plastic bags.
By promoting the use of cloth bags this organization whose ethos is the promotion of health and healthy lifestyles one could expect no less.
Our middle school students who have been attempting to convince local businesses to “toss the plastic” will be very pleased.
Which Summerland businesses will move to follow this sterling example of concern for our environment?
Ladies of the auxiliary, you are the greatest!
