Baker was a good friend

I was very saddened to hear that our friend Bill Baker passed away in October.

Dear Editor:

I was very saddened to hear that our friend Bill Baker passed away in October.

We first met at the Kettle Valley Railway in 1995 and after his wife passed away, we became closer friends.

We enjoyed many coffees together at Santorini’s; drives through the valley and beyond and he eventually became a member of our family.

After he moved to Gibsons to be closer to his son, I went out to visit Bill with some of our friends and that was the last time we saw each other, except for our occasional phone calls.

Bill, thank you for being part of our life and letting me be your friend.
