In Loving Memory ~
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ute Dittmann, surrounded by her loving family in Summerland, BC, on July 17, 2024.
Born in Calgary, Ute grew up in the Toronto area, before moving to Summerland in 1997 with her family. Ute lived a life full of love and warmth, touching the hearts of all who knew her.
Ute was a devoted wife to her wonderful, loving, and caring husband of 36 years, Jürgen Dittmann. She was a cherished mother to three amazing children, Nikolas, Katrina, and Tatjana Dittmann. Ute is also remembered and missed by her parents, Kurt and Ursula Moeller, and her brother, Harald Moeller.
Her family was the center of her world, and she dedicated her life to creating a home filled with love, laughter, delicious food, and cherished memories.
Ute had a deep love for the water and the beach, finding joy and peace in the beauty of lakes and oceans. She was happiest when surrounded by her family, whether it was a simple gathering at home or a sunny day at the beach. Ute's love for sunflowers and the vibrant colours of red and purple reflected her bright and joyful spirit.
Her presence in our lives was a blessing, and her memory will continue to inspire and guide us. We will always remember Ute for her kindness, radiant smile, unwavering love, and support.
In honouring Ute's wishes, we will be holding a small, private gathering for immediate family and friends, which will be closed to the public.
In lieu of tributes, please consider making a donation to the Rotary Club of Summerland to assist with the Summerland Pier enhancements in her memory. Donations can be made via: summerlandrotary.ca/donate/Summerland-Pier
She will be dearly missed
and forever in our hearts,
The Dittmann Family
