1927-2016
Ted passed away peacefully on Friday, May 13th, 2016 in his 90th year. This sincere and loving man will be cherished by his son, Michael (Monica) of Chetwynd, BC; his 2 daughters: Shirley Goddard of Kelowna, BC and Beverly Mandeville of Summerland, BC; his grandchildren: Kelly (Alan) Singleton, Ross (Carly) Mandeville, Carey Goddard, Michael Goddard, Derek Weeks, Pasley Weeks; and his great grandchildren: Greyson Mandeville, Sophie, Alex, Kendal and Walker Singleton. Ted is sadly predecessed by his treasured wife, Betty and his beloved son-in-law, Neal Mandeville.
Ted will be greatly missed by his adoring family and many friends and remembered for his commitment to the Summerland community and particularly his dedication to his students from Kaslo Elementary, MacDonald Elementary, Lahr Intermediate School, Germany, and Summerland Secondary. “Mr. Weeks” was delighted by many former students remembering and fondly greeting him over the past 37 years of his retirement.
Ted loved reading, travelling, woodworking, and digital photography, but most of all he loved his family. Ted was happiest when he was gardening and “puttering” around the house and spending precious time with his children and grandchildren. He was the most patient, thoughtful and fun father and grandfather. We will miss him deeply. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 2:00 pm at St. Stephen Anglican Church, 9311 Prairie Valley Rd., Summerland, BC with Reverend Paulin officiating.
