Shirley June Sundbo
went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2011 at the age of 59 years. Survived by her loving husband Wayne Sundbo, daughter Cheryl (Blaine) Lestage of Prince George, BC, stepson Kurtis Sundbo of Kelowna BC, stepdaughter Lianne (Lionel) Pillar of North Battleford, SK, stepson Ryan (Renee) Haberstock of Medicine Hat, AB, grandchildren Brittany and Jason, step-grandchildren Stephen, Cole, Cameron and Megan, brothers and sisters Edith (Vern) Trynchy of Edson, AB, Patricia (Chuck) Deacon of Peers, AB, William (Brenda) Boychuk of Wolf Creek, AB, Joseph (Shauna) Boychuk of Wolf Creek, AB. Sadly predeceased by her parents Peter and Dorothy Boychuk, grandmother Edith Berkoltz. Shirley’s passion was cooking and she was always looking in her many cookbooks for new ideas. Her favourite TV show was the food channel. With her multitude of cookbooks, she could make almost anything and it was always good. She loved baking cookies and inventing special goodies, especially for church on Sunday. She loved life and enjoyed gardening and playing with her dogs outside. She enjoyed golf and going for walks in the evenings after dinner. She was always more concerned about the well being of others than herself. She was so appreciative of her church family and friends who visited her and supplied food and goodies during her illness. She influenced many people in her life and she will be sadly missed by everyone that knew her. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 15244 Victoria Rd. N., Summerland, BC, with Pastor Michael Colbeck officiating. Interment will follow at a later date.
