Robert Wallace Matheson, loving husband of Pat Matheson of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020.
Born in Edmundston, NB, December 7, 1931, Bob spent his early years in the Maritimes where his love of shellfish followed him on his moves to Ontario, the prairies, and the Okanagan. During his time with Goodyear in Regina he became a lifelong fan of the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
He managed Firestone stores in Guelph before opening his own business in the city, Speed River Tire. He then owned Bob's Tire Service in Orangeville. He was a member of the Lions Club wherever he lived and a volunteer with a hospital charity in Summerland, BC.
Bob and Pat's years in Summerland were filled with great friendships, many rounds of golf, especially at St. Andrews By the Lake, and Bob's role with their condo association.
Bob will always be lovingly remembered by his son Mike (Anne, deceased), daughter Jan (Jerry), grandchildren, Andrew (Kim), Lee-Anne (Dan), Natasha, and Mike; great-grandchildren, Tyson, Tegan, Tayla, Tanner, Olivia, Nola; and Pat's family, Jeff (Nancy), Holly (Mike), Stephen (Marcela), and Benjamin (Rob) Tiawna. Bob was predeceased by his wife Anne, in 1999.
