Robert Lewis Friberg passed away peacefully at home in Summerland, BC on September 23, 2020, at the age of 88 years.
Bob affectionately loved his wife Irene (passed away in 2018); his children Cindy and Robert; and grandchild Megan, who miss him greatly.
He spoke frequently of his early career as a railroad station agent and morse code operator, and later became a well regarded school teacher specializing in learning disabilities, helping many children learn to read with his caring, patient manner.
His generous spirit, love of history and homesteading, and ever cheerful demeanor touched the lives of all who knew him.
