May 28, 1938 - December 7, 2020
Pat Schramm passed away peacefully at Moog & Friends Hospice House in Penticton, BC. She is survived by her daughter Ellen and son Gary, both of Saskatchewan, as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and her many friends. Pat was predeceased by her husband Willie in 2002 and her son Richard in 1968.
Pat's grandparents, Frank and Adrienne Morrow, came to Summerland from Manitoba in 1918 and purchased an orchard in Prairie Valley which their son, Jack, and his wife, Nancy, (Pat's parents) eventually took over. Pat, born in the old hospital on Solly Road, lived most of her life in Prairie Valley and often reminisced about the farm and skating on Morrow's Pond. She and Willie enjoyed the outdoors and shared a love of gardening, but Pat said her favourite times were when they headed for the hills on their quads.
Pat will be missed, but her matter-of-fact attitude and great sense of humour will be remembered by all who knew her. Memorial donations may be made to the Summerland Food Bank or a charity of your choice.
Interment will take place in the Garden of Remembrance, St. Stephen Anglican Church, Summerland, BC in the spring of 2021.
