Muriel Doreen WEITZEL a resident of Summerland for 65 years, passed away peacefully at the Summerland Extended Care Unit on August 4 th, 2008 in her 75th year. Muriel was predeceased by her father Earl (1939), stepfather Channon Snow (1969), mother Pauline Snow (1994), brothers Robert (1997) and Daryl (2004). She will be sadly missed by her sisters-in-laws, Ellen Weitzel of Tsawassen, Connie Weitzel of Vernon as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their appreciation for the care and compassion Muriel received for over 10 years at the Summerland E.C.U. Our thanks to Dr. Mack for his care. Muriel spent, perhaps, her happiest years attending the Penticton Training Center and later the Seniors Club both in Penticton. Heartfelt thanks are extended to those staffs for providing that meaningful environment for Muriel. A private interment will be held at the Peach Orchard Cemetery.
