Marian Carol Booth was promoted to higher service July 31, 2016 at the age of 88 years with her son by her side. She will be remembered and sadly missed by son Crofton (Janet), a grandchild, a great grandchild and sister Kathryn of Powell River, BC. She is predeceased by brothers Bob and Wally.
Marian’s love of life and people touched the lives of all who knew her. She was well loved for her sense of humour and generous spirit. She had many interests including painting and travel, but she most loved that she was in the service of God, a dream she attained since she felt the calling as a young girl and a trail she helped to blaze for women in the church. She was happiest when she was asked to perform weddings and baptisms.
Funeral Service with Eucharist was held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Anglican Church, 9311 Prairie Valley Rd., Summerland, BC with Reverend Rick Paulin officiating. Interment followed in the church’s Garden of Remembrance.
