In Loving Memory ~
Marguerite Lefebvre (m. DeMeulenaere) of Summerland died peacefully on March 1, 2022 at 76 years of age at Penticton Regional Hospital.
Born and raised with 12 brothers and sisters in Cold Lake, Alberta where her family were one of the pioneers of this Francophone enclave, she married a Canadian Air Force staff who then brought her to Vancouver Island, Prince George and then luckily to Summerland 42 years ago.
She loved cats and birds, organic gardening, preserving fruit and drinking the herbal teas she grew. She was a light worker who sought to identify injustice and to fight for what she felt was right.
Marguerite will be remembered by her daughter Dionne (DeMeulenaere) and husband Kosta Bakalos; son Stephen and wife Ochie DeMeulenaere; her grandchildren Maria and husband Ben, Mikhaela and husband Carson, Katerina, Athena and Marguerite's great-grandson Bowen; and all her dear friends over the many years.
A bench will be placed in her honour by her family for all to enjoy. Marguerite asked that condolences be sent in the form of donations to Critteraid in Summerland.

Your condolences will be approved within one business day. You will need a valid Facebook account. Please email us if you have any questions.
