McEWEN, Margaret Naomi nee Kercher December 31, 1913 – January 18, 2009 Naomi was born in Manitoba to Ezra and Nellie Kercher and came to Summerland as a small infant. She was predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth M. Blagborne, her second husband, W. Alex McEwen, and her sisters Helen and Jean. Naomi is survived by her son, Kenneth Raymond Blagborne (Ann), her grandson, Dean (Sharon), granddaughters Jennifer and Caroline. She loved the town of Summerland and to the very end took a keen interest in any and all local events. All her life, her first love was her garden and she remained a member of the Garden Club to the end, as well as the Rebekah Lodge. The family is grateful to all the friends and family who have been so supportive during Naomi’s final brief illness. We are honoring her wish not to have a service. Arrangements are with Providence Funeral Homes, Summerland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cancer Fund.
