Kent Thomas Corbet Israel passed away on November 24, 2011 at the age of 56 years. Kent will be remembered by his loving wife of 31 years, Suzanne Israel; his mother Olive Israel; children Catharina Israel (Patrick Gavigan) of Ottawa, ON, Mark Israel of Vancouver, BC and brother Larry (Susan) Israel of Georgetown, ON. Kent was sadly predeceased by his father Ed Israel. Kent dedicated his life to helping others through his work as a Minister with the United Church and volunteering with various local groups, boards and societies. Kent celebrated the joy of life by spending time with his family while participating in camping, sailing, hiking and reading. He will be greatly missed. Visitation with the family was held on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Rosedale Memorial Chapel, 13205 Rosedale Avenue, Summerland, BC from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m., followed by the memorial service on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summerland United Church, 13204 Henry Avenue, Summerland, BC.
