In loving memory ~
John Nicolson, a man of many adventures and even more stories, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, at the age of 87. He was predeceased by his beautiful wife of 54 years, Sandra. He is survived by his sisters, Donna Schellenberg and Shirley Nicols, his three children, Lisa (Trevor), Scott (Liz) and Kelly (Cobus), three delightful grandchildren; Willem, Madelyn and Jacqui and many, many friends.
John was a skilled accountant, a passionate farmer, and a competitive cribbage player. His curiosity and zest for life never waned, even as he faced health challenges in his later years. John's life was a tapestry of remarkable experiences, from his early farming days to his escapades through South America. John always had a smile on his face and a story ready for a listening ear. He took pleasure in the simple things - his Prairie Valley apple orchard, sitting in the sunshine, and spending time with his family and friends.
John's legacy is one of love, laughter, and resilience. His children and grandchildren will carry forward his adventurous spirit and love for life.
Thank you to the friendly staff at Penticton hospital and to his loyal friends who helped make Dad's days a little brighter. A celebration of life for John and Sandra Nicolson will be held on Sunday, July 6th in Summerland, BC. (details to follow).
