Nov 8, 1929 - Feb 24, 2018
Jack was born in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta to John and Grace Marie Coghlin. He passed away suddenly at home, on Little Atlin Lake, Yukon, with his partner Beryl by his side.

Jack is survived by his partner, Beryl Potter, five children: John (Brenda) Coghlin, Kimberley (Jim) Chadwick, Shirley (Neil) McPhedran, Barbara Flottorp, and Timothy (Barb) Coghlin; nine grandchildren (Kaley, John Michael, Christopher, Daniel, Nikki, Doug, Ryan, Joseph and Faith: and seven great grandchildren (Jesse, Rebecca, Anastasia, Claire, Luc, James and Madelaine).

Grampa so enjoyed his grandkids. Playing games, reading books, tinkering and teaching in his shop and even letting them style his hair with clips and bows. When the great grandchildren came along, he was still down on all fours (even at age 88) playing with them, his face beaming.

Dad had a corny sense of humor (which we are all blessed to have inherited). He had the best outlook on life and absolutely lived life to the fullest. He taught us to live one day at a time, and to learn from our mistakes. Dad was so much fun to be around, he just made you feel good!

Dad will be remembered for being a "Jack of all Trades" - he could fix anything - if he couldn't fix it, it was broken! He was always ready to lend a helping hand whether he knew you or you were a stranger broken down on the side of the highway. Also his kind personality, positive outlook, his beautiful smile and his infectious laugh will never be forgotten.

May the winds of Heaven blow softly and whisper in your ear, how much we love and miss you and wish that you were still here.

There will be a Celebration of Life held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Summerland Anglican Church Hall, 9311 Prairie Valley Rd.
