WONG, JACK DON of Summerland, BC born May 30, 1936 in Windsor, ON passed away peacefully on November 5, 2008 in Summerland at age 72. Jack is survived by four children; Becky (Dean) Bennett of Coldstream, BC, Dee (Alex) Nutland of Maple Ridge, BC, Dale (Evelyn) Wong of Tyler, TX and Brett Wong of Qualicum Beach, BC; seven grandchildren; Holly, Melanie, Andrew, Jeremy, Nathan, Dylan and Cody. He was predeceased by his mother Evelyn, father Frank, brother George, wife Gladys and grand daughter Jennifer. Jack proudly served 23 years in the Canadian Air Force. He was a long time member of the Lion Club International serving in various positions including Club Secretary, President, Zone Chairman and District Governor. Jack was also a member of the Retired R.C.A.F.A 8090 South Okanagan Wing. A Memorial service was be held on Wednesday, November 12 at 1:00 p.m. from the Rosedale Memorial Chapel, 13205 Rosedale Avenue, Summerland, BC with Padre John Briscall officiating. If desired memorial tributes may be made to the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Providence Funeral Homes.
