Hedvik “Hedy” Antonia Bednard of Summerland, BC passed away peacefully on June 12, 2008 at the age of 85 years. Survived by: children Mary Ann (Doug) Fujita of Summerland BC, Joyce (Elmer) Seitz of Winnipeg MB, Susan (Aurel) Perry of Tofield AB, son-in-law Lyle Perley of Edmonton AB, 9 grand children and 21 great grandchildren, brothers Cyrill Cech of Red Deer AB, Frank (Carol) Cech of Bluffton AB, sister Mary Pavelka of Toronto ON and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Walter, and daughter Pat Perley. Hedy moved to British Columbia from Alberta in 1948, bought an orchard and farmed until the passing of Walter in 1982. Hedy also worked at Cornwall Cannery until it closed in 1974. A Celebration of Life for Hedy will be held on Friday, June 20, 2008 at 11:00 am at Rosedale Memorial Chapel 13205 Rosedale Ave., Summerland, BC with Rev. Sid Waterman officiating.
