Hazel May Doherty of Summerland, BC, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on February 23, 2008 at the age of 87 years. Hazel will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband Jim of 53 years and son Barry. Hazel was a great lady with a real sense of style. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and a true friend. Hazel had a wonderful sense of humour and a twinkle in her eyes. Hazel loved antiques and her cranberry glass collection is legendary. She was a talented and well-respected member of the Summerland Camera Club for many years. She worked at the packing house for nine years and helped her husband Jim in their orchards. Hazel passed away after a long illness. Special thanks to Dr.LeBel for her care during this time. A Memorial Gathering will take place at a later date.
