DAHL, HANS KARL “JACK”
Born August 12, 1929 in Landstuhl, Germany; died August 19, 2015 in Penticton at 9:00 p.m. Hans is survived by his sister, Trudel (Klaus); children, Glen and Caron (Thurein); grandchildren, Laura, Steven, Hayden as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Gisela on January 14, 2004. A family gathering to celebrate his life will take place at a later date. The family thanks the wonderful staff at Westview Extended Care for all the support, understanding and compassionate care.

you made your way
through mediocrity surrounding you.
Like a comet you blazed your own trail,
alive with an indomitable spirit,
Burning bright with generosity and a ready optimism
never failing to ignite those around you

Your children - Glen and Caron, your wife, Gisela - your ever-devoted lifelong companion beside you nearly all the way... we never let go of you. You once said you felt like a displaced person coming to Canada as Germany’s war victim. This is now all over with.
Your three grandchildren – Laura, Steven, Hayden will go on to shine their light with your light
upon this life and will forever cherish you.
You being one of kind, Dad,
The sun king shining…anyone who ever knew you, will always remember you!
May you shine in everlasting Peace, at last with Mom.
We will miss you, madly
And in sleep, quietly, you left us to carry on.
