Smith, Gary Allan
Age 67. Born June 2, 1949 in Summerland BC. Died October 25, 2016 in Salmon Arm, BC. After a bravely fought yearlong battle with cancer, Gary leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years, Barb, daughter Kimberley (Reinhold) Krahn, and grandchildren Griffyn and Paityn, son Chris (Brandi) Smith, and grandchildren Lily and Alexis. Also survived by his mother, Patricia Smith and sisters Donna (Jack) Leeper, Nancy Smith, Margaret Trent and many nieces and nephews. Gary will be remembered for his love of his family, the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting, curling, golfing with Barb and for his penchant for a good chat. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made to Shuswap Lake Hospital Foundation “Palliative Care Project”, PO Box 265, Salmon Arm, V1E 4N3.
