Florence C. Mortimer passed away peacefully on January 18th, 2011 at the age of 99 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Coral (Dave) Knight, son Gary (Wendy) Mortimer, sisters Irene Degenstien and Dorie Lambie, four grandchildren: Patti (Said) Maila, Todd (Sheri) Knight, Andy Knight, Chantelle Mortimer; ten great-grandchildren: Malik Maila, Brittany Eidet, Rebecca Eidet, Morgan Eidet, Elise Eidet, Paxton Knight, Jordan Mortimer, Reece Overton-Knight, Kelcey Overton-Knight, Gemma Bailey. Predeceased by her husband Brian Mortimer, brothers Mike and Bill Pearce, sister Patty Waddington. Our great-grandmother, grandmother, mother, sister and friend, “Flossie”, will be so sadly missed, but remembered for her love of flowers, gardening, volunteering, and most of all, her generous soul. Celebration of “Flossie’s” life will take place on the 14th of August 2011, in Summerland, BC. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Vancouver Children’s Hospital.
