Elizabeth Decie, born July 12th 1918 in Hoddesdon, England, passed away March 20th 2018 in Summerland.
Survived by two daughters, Val (Bruce) Crawford and Marg (Henry) King, 6 grandchildren Lance, Paul, Jesse, Bonnie, Mandy and Patrick and 5 greatgrandchildren.
Liz and Tim came to Canada in 1949 to Victoria where Tim worked in the forest service. After 14 years in Prince George also with the forest service they moved to Summerland in 1964 where they grew primarily apples and apricots in their orchard. Liz was an active mother and grandmother, enjoyed her vegetable garden, doing crosswords and playing cards, and the companionship of a dog always.
The ready smile and her tendency to see the best of everyone endeared her to many people.
The family would like to thank all those involved at Dr. Andrew's Pavilion who showed such compassion and caring to Liz during her stay there. There will be no service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BC Children's Hospital.
