Elizabeth Angela Broadbent passed away suddenly on February 14, 2017 at PRH surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 11, 1935 in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England. She is survived by her beloved husband, John William Broadbent; daughter Jane Windeler (Rob Perret); son Jonathan Broadbent (Dianne); grandchildren Jennifer, Megan, Charlotte and Andrew. She is pre-deceased by her brother John Michael Hirst.
Angela’s flair for hairdressing began when she was 15, winning several competitions for creative style. From farming in England to making the move to B.C., she could take on any challenge. Angela’s Beauty Salon, operated from her home for years with many devoted customers who always marveled at her spectacular English style garden complete with bluebells brought over from her mother’s garden in England. Her busy hands had an unending energy whether it be designing and sewing a fashion wardrobe for herself or knitting sweaters for the family. Her timeless style and flair was always apparent whether she was on the golf course, socializing with friends or cooking family dinners. Angela's smile and positive outlook warmed those around her. She will be dearly missed. A celebration of life will follow in the spring. The family would like to thank the first responders and the caring staff at PRH.
