Eleanor Fisher (nee Minto) 1922-2017 - Eleanor Fisher of Summerland, BC passed away peacefully October 31, 2017 at the age of 95.

Eleanor was born in Harrington, Durham County, England February 12, 1922.  In 1933 she immigrated to Canada with her family.

Married in 1943 to Charles Fisher, she was a loving mother to 5 sons:  Charlie (Margie) of Willowbrook, BC, Jim (Priscilla) of Kamloops, BC, Danny (Louise) of Rose Lake, BC, Malcolm (Bernice) of Vanderhoof, BC, and Jack (Deb) of Vernon, BC; and 2 daughters:  Mary (Jim) of Summerland, BC and Janet (Bernie) of Fort Saskatchewan, AB as well as a loving grandmother of 14 and great grandmother of 22.

Eleanor was a nurse in New Westminster prior to and during the war.  Eleanor and Charlie lived in northern BC for most of their married life before retiring in Chilliwack and then Salmon Arm.  She was predeceased by her husband in 2003 and moved to Penticton in 2003.

For the past 5 years she resided at Angus Place in Summerland.  

We will always remember and miss her lovely smile, little giggle and her quiet ways.  Rest in peace, Mom. 

A family memorial will take place at Topley Cemetery in the spring of 2018.
