Jan 13, 2018
Dick Hoogenberg passed away peacefully January 13, 2018 at the age of 79 years.

He will be remembered and sadly missed by his daughter Carol Lane; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and siblings Henry (Ann) Hoogenberg of Sherwood Park, AB, Tina (Clarence) Ruiter of Westcove, AB, Grace (Case) Muilwyk of Edmonton, AB, Alice (Gerry) Spang of Edmonton, AB, and Gary (Vicky) Hoogenberg of Edmonton, AB.

He was predeceased by his wife Maureen, parents Ynze and Atje (Ann) Hoogenberg, son Richard, and daughter Joanne.

Dick wasn't a man of many words, but the ones he spoke stuck with you.  He had a great sense of humor and was truly a gentle soul.  Dick spent many years driving truck.  Once those days were over, he spent his time delivering parts to many different auto shops up and down the Valley.  When he wasn't tinkering with work or his endless hobbies, Dick enjoyed going for a cup of jo with his friends and family and going for long walks or drives anywhere.

He was the kind of man to give you the clothes off of his back and was a real animal lover.  And at the end of each day, he always said the same:  "I'm 50% bad, 40% good and the other 10% is undecided!"
