Russ was born in the small town of Cormorant Lake, Manitoba, the last of 5 boys born to Clarence and Sally Hanson. His very early years were spent running his own trap line. In his adult years Russ worked efficiently and well at many jobs, coming to Summerland in 1990.
Russ will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 27 years, Maryan Dennison and his three children, Richard, Valerie and Bonnie.
Maryan's children: son Lake; and daughter Zoe and her daughters, Willow and Ariel will also miss Russ's presence in their lives.
Russ wished a simple, quiet passing so there will be no service or funeral.
A very special thank you to the Drs. and nursing staff of SP2 at Penticton Hospital for helping through this difficult time.
Their understanding and compassionate care was very much appreciated by Maryan and Russ's family.
