Catherine Fraser Riedl of Summeralnd, BC, born in South Shields, England, passed away on July 15 th, 2008 at the age of 91 years. Cathie is lovingly remembered by her son William Riedl (Heather) of Whistler, BC and daughter Catherine McWatters (Harry) of Summerland, BC; grandchildren: John Riedl (Victoria), Caroline App (Peter), Christa-Lee Bond (Cameron) and Darren McWatters (Kristy), great-grandchildren: Brendan, Connor, Ryan, Sophie, and James; Brother, Charles Pryde (Trudy) of Nanaimo, BC and Sister, Janet Gillett of Kelowna, BC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased in 1961 by her husband John William Riedl. The family sincerely thanks Dr. Venkataraman and the staff at the Penticton Regional Hospital for the care given during her times in the hospital. The family also greatly appreciates Lisa Burt and the staff and residents of Prairie Valley Lodge who warmly welcomed and cared for her in her final days. A gathering of family and friends to remember the life of Cathie will be held on July 29 th, 2008, at 2:00 pm at 10823 Dunham Crescent, Summerland, BC. Memorial tributes may be made in honour of Cathie to BC Heart & Stroke, or BC Cancer Society.
