Catherine (Kay) Langan passed away peacefully on December 23, 2016. She was born in Dublin, Ireland on May 31, 1921.
She married Ernest Langan on September 17, 1941, moved down to the coast to raise their family together in the lovely
seaside town of Greystones. In 1968 she followed Ernie to Uranium City in Northern Saskatchewan. In 1979 they retired to Kelowna, BC. They both loved sunshine and swimming and often traveled to sunshine destinations and to visit family in Ireland. Ernie predeceased her in 1989, her three siblings also predeceased her. Catherine was very lively, loving and giving of her time and talents. She was active in her church
and the Catholic Women’s league and she was a beautiful solo soprano. She is survived by her five children; Brian (Beth) Langan, Gwen Gasi, Martin Langan, Cathy (Harv) Roylance and Niall Langan and had sixteen grandchildren, twenty one
great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild, also numerous nieces and nephews in Ireland. Her family wishes
to thank the staff of Pine Acres Care Home in Westbank. Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, December 30, 2016
at Immaculate Conception Church in Kelowna with Father Sebastian Puthenpura, Celebrant.
