In Loving Memory ~
Barbara Geres passed away peacefully on February 7, 2023, at the age of 95 years. She will be remembered and sadly missed by her daughter Bernice (Ralph) Courtorielle of Fort Saskatchewan, daughter-in-law Theone Geres of Simi Valley, California, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, her sister Lore Pohl of Wetaskiwin, AB, and sister-in-law Shelia Mayer of Grenfel, SK.
She is sadly predeceased by her first husband of 52 years, Jacob Geres, and her late husband, Heinz Wartenberg, her son Lenard, brother Klaus Mayer, and brother-in-law Howard Pohl.
Barb lived at the top end of Prairie Valley Road in the yellow farmhouse for 70 years, running the 10-acre fruit orchard. She was an avid gardener sharing her produce with friends, neighbors, and the community. She also enjoyed her flowers and was a very gifted seamstress. She treasured family the most.
A Funeral Service was held on February 15, 2023, at 11:00 am, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 15244 Victoria North, Summerland, BC. An Interment followed at Canyon View Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church.
