It is with sadness that family announces the sudden passing of Arnold Francis Jones on December 1st, 2011 at the age of 78. Arnold is survived by his wife Marjorie, his children Bruce (Louise), Evan, Dianne (Gordon) and Darwin (Bernadine), sibling Carole (Ken), and grand-children Michael, Cameron, Samantha, Rhys, Bryn and Branden. He was predeceased by parents Frank and Kathleen of Virden, Manitoba.
Arnold was born February 9th, 1933 in Virden, Manitoba to a farming family. He spread his wings and enjoyed a long and notable career in the oil industry which took him and his family from Manitoba to Alberta. Arnold, along with his wife Marjorie, retired in 1994 to Summerland, BC and Mesa, AZ depending on the season. Arnold loved reading, golfing, a good game of cards and time spent with family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor, was a great conversationalist and never met a stranger. He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
There will be a celebration of life held at Fountain of the Sun, Mesa, Arizona, on December 8th, 2011. A service will follow in Summerland in 2012. In lieu of flowers or other gifts, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
