Anna Cornell Ward, born March 16, 1919 passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Moog and Friends Hospice House in Penticton, British Columbia.
Her energetic, loving and vibrant spirit will live forever in the hearts of her family and friends. Anna was predeceased by her husband, George Oliver Ward and her sisters, Elizabeth Bartman and Barbara Underwood. She is survived by her daughter Lois Ward Harrison of Pasadena, California and by John Harrison of Portland Oregon, granddaughters Sabrina Harrison of Madison Wisconsin, Anna Roorda (Jason) of Nampa Idaho, great grandchildren Tyler Jane Roorda, Hayden Rae Roorda, Devyn Ann Roorda, brother Peter Hagey Bartman (Sandi) of Fairmont Hot Springs British Columbia, nieces Lynda West of Penticton, British Columbia, Susan Underwood (Richard) of Mt. Lehman British Columbia, Joy Fera (Steve) of Tsawwassen British Columbia, Valerie Ward of Cranbrook British Columbia, Laurie Policelli (Dom) of Toronto Ontario and nephew David Bartman (Marijanna) of Toronto Ontario. She is also lovingly remembered by a number of great nieces and nephews and their families.
A Time of Remembrance for Anna's friends and neighbours was held at Providence's Summerland Chapel, 13205 Rosedale Avenue, Summerland British Columbia, on September 15, 2018 at 1:00 pm. A family gathering honouring Anna's life will be held at a later date.
