Adriana Johanna Sweep (Braspenning)
August 17, 1927 - September 17, 2017
Adriana passed away peacefully in Summerland, B.C. on September 17, 2017.
She was happily surrounded by all of her family for her 90th birthday celebration just one month prior.
Her greatest joys in life were her family, colorful flowers, music and her faith in God. She was an active member of the Catholic Women's League.
Adriana was predeceased by eight siblings in the Netherlands; her husband, George, and son, Kenny.
She is survived by her brother, Jan and sister, Riet, her sons, Gilbert Sweep (Michelle) and Ed Sweep (Debbie), her daughters, Marianne Lidstone (Rick) and Caroline Isaak (Bob), as well as nine grandchildren; Keely, Rhaena, Adrianna, David, Kristina, Lisa, Jesse, Lindsey and Jenna, and five great grandchildren; Daniel, Shamus, Nathan, Orin and Khebri.
She had a kind, gentle heart and will be missed by all.
A celebration of her life will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on October 21, 2017 at 2 pm in Brooks, Alberta where she spent 43 years amongst family and friends.
A light tea will follow, and considering Adriana's love for bright colored clothing, you are welcome to join us in celebrating her life by wearing something cheerful.
