A film shoot that injured a worker on the Westside is under investigation.

A piece of equipment fell on a man’s foot Friday morning, prompting the RCMP and WorkSafeBC to investigate.

North Okanagan RCMP were called to the work site in the 11000 block of Westside Road just after 10 a.m. The address is the Little Kingdom gas bar, food store and hardware store.

“WorkSafeBC was notified on Friday of an incident during a film shoot,” said Ralph Eastman, WorkSafeBC media relations. “We sent an officer to the site. The employer is required to conduct an investigation into the incident and submit its report to WorkSafeBC.”

RCMP have determined that the incident was not criminal in nature.
