A vehicle drove into a standalone garage, collapsing the structure on Monday afternoon.

The driver was not injured in the incident that took place on Kensington Street in the K Street neighbourhood above Government Street. The garage was destroyed but there was no damage to the home.

The gas line was not hit, confirmed police. Power has been disconnected to the shed.

RCMP and Penticton Fire responded to the accident around 1 p.m.

No tickets will be issued as it was just an accident, said police.
