Three deaths connected to COVID outbreak at Penticton care home

Village by the Station now has 32 cases while Haven Hills has eight

Village by the Station has lost three of their residents to their current COVID-19 outbreak.

Interior Health reports that Village by the Station now has 32 cases: 18 residents and 14 staff with three deaths connected to the outbreak.

Haven Hill Care Centre in Penticton has eight cases: seven residents and one staff with one death connected to the outbreak.

The outbreak at Village by the Station was first reported Sept. 29 with 10 cases: eight residents and two staff.

In Kelowna, Cottonwoods Care Centre long-term care has 60 cases: 48 residents and 12 staff, with eight deaths connected to the outbreak.

B.C. public health teams confirmed 603 new cases of COVID-19 Saturday, 634 Sunday, 468 on Thanksgiving Monday and 385 up to Tuesday, with 28 deaths attributed to COVID-19 over the four days.
